In the latest presidential debate, ABC News’ David Muir tried to play the role of “fact-checker” when President Trump rightfully called out the surge in crime under the Biden-Harris administration. Muir, in typical mainstream media fashion, interrupted, claiming the FBI reports show violent crime has decreased. But once again, the media got it wrong, and Trump was spot on.
What Muir conveniently left out is that Biden’s FBI changed the reporting system shortly after taking office, making it harder for local governments to report crime data. Major crime hubs like Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles stopped participating. How convenient for Muir to ignore this, huh?
