So, you’d think if someone gave you $1 billion to run for office, you’d have enough left over for a little savings, right? Well, not if you’re Kamala Harris. According to Federal Election Commission (FEC) records, Kamala raised over $1 billion — and still managed to end up $20 million in debt. How? By blowing millions on Hollywood glitz and glam, apparently trying to out-star-studded the Oscars.
It’s not just a campaign, folks, it was a production. The Harris campaign forked out $20 million on “event production,” which just so happened to include appearances by Lady Gaga, Ricky Martin, Katy Perry, Bon Jovi, 2 Chainz, and the Isley Brothers. The payments were creatively labeled “event production,” so we’ll never know exactly how much went into each performance, but let’s just say this campaign was more concert tour than town hall.
