“OurprayersarewitheveryoneaffectedbythehorrificfiresinSouthernCalifornia.Whendisasterstrikes,wemustcometogethertohelpourfellowAmericansinanywaywecan,”DeSantispostedtoXonWednesdaymorning.
“ThestateofFloridahasofferedhelptoassistthepeopleofCaliforniainrespondingtothesefiresandinrebuildingcommunitiesthathavebeendevastated,”headded.
DeSantis’offerofsupporttoCaliforniacomesafterherecentlyledhisstatethroughHurricaneMiltonandHurricaneHelenelastyear.Thetwogovernorshavefrequentlytradedbarbswithoneanotherinrecentyears,mostnotablywhenFloridawasopenforbusinessduringthepandemic,andCaliforniaimplementedstrictlockdownordersandmandates.
