Inheropeningstatement,ChairwomanRep.MarjorieTaylorGreene,R-S.C.,saidthecommitteemustbe“brutallyhonestabouthowthismassivedebtcametobeinthefirstplace–itcamefromCongressandfromelectedpresidentialadministrations.”
“WeasRepublicansandDemocratscanstillholdtightlytoourbeliefs,butwearegoingtohavetoletgooffundingtheminordertosaveoursinkingship,”Greenesaid.“Thisisnotatimeforpoliticaltheaterandpartisanattacks.TheAmericanpeoplearewatching.Thelegislativebranchcan’tsitonthesidelines.Inthissubcommittee,wewillfightthewaronwasteshouldertoshoulderwithPresidentTrump,ElonMuskandtheDOGEteam.”
