It’s nice to have a president who comes prepared. Not that Joe Biden wasn’t prepared before press conferences, but he was given the question beforehand. Donald Trump anticipates what journalismers will ask him and brings data. During a press conference, the president knew he would be asked about DOGE and Cousin Elon, and not in a way that said, “What good work are they doing?” So, Trump made sure he had the numbers.
Not that all of Trump’s answers yesterday were great. I know we’re supposed to just go “ZOMG BASED” over everything, but that’s not what we do here.
I don’t love this at all. I’m fine with him being tough on Ukraine, but he needs to be equally tough, if not tougher, on Russia, who after all started the war.
