Thursday night was the opening of the 2025 NFL Draft. It was a good night for the New York Giants fans in my group chat (shouts to them). It was a bad night for Shedeur Sanders. The highlight was Donald Trump’s “cameo,” if you will. I say “cameo” with finger quotes because the President was in DC making America great again, but his presence was felt, as was the tightening of Roger Goodell’s sphincter when “Trump” was spoken.
The event took place in Green Bay and was opened up by Packers legend (and star of Pitch Perfect 2) Clay Matthews, who had just gotten off the phone with one President Donald J. Trump. The former Linebacker was asked to relay a message.

I just got off the phone with the President, Donald Trump. He asked me to pass a message along to all 32 NFL franchises. My fellow Americans…
