The failed Harris/Walz campaign is facing new scrutiny after its crushing defeat by the Trump/Vance campaign, with one report taking a closer look at the true price tag of one of the Democrats’ flashiest celebrity events.
As Fox News reports, the campaign had previously paid $1 million, across two separate payments of $500,000, to Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions on October 15th. These payments were confirmed in filings by the Federal Election Commission (FEC). One month prior, Winfrey held a town hall event with outgoing Vice President Kamala Harris (D-Calif.). However, a new report from the New York Times, citing two anonymous sources, claims that the campaign may have paid Winfrey as much as $2.5 million.
